Article Marketing

A few brave souls decide to do the unthinkable by selling affiliate products without pay per click advertising or even a website. It can be done and is done every day by a select few. However, unlike PPC advertising, this method will take a while to get a sale with.

Usually people start out small and submit 2 or 3 articles each day to article directories. If you want to make the process faster, you can download a free article submitter and submit it automatically to 80 or 90 directories. You need to try to write articles that are relevant to the products that you are selling. Never include links in the title, summary, or body of the article, always put the links in the “bio” or “resource” box at the bottom of the article. 350 words is a good number to have. Avoid pushy articles that advise the reader to buy the product or click the link…those types of articles could get removed, flagged, or get you banned from that directory.

If your affiliate product is an Ebook for making money online, try describing one method of making money online in the article such as affiliate marketing…then in the resource box put “To learn more about making money online, Click Here!” Have the link go to your affiliate page. Although, that technique does not work for Ezine articles. To do this with Ezine articles, try creating a landing page on a blogger blog with links to the affiliate product. With time and effort, you should get a few sales. I know of some friends who made a sale in their first 20 days using this method. The submitted 20 to 30 articles every day when they started. The good thing about article marketing is that once you submit an article, it will keep attracting people to the affiliate product, which in turn means more sales with less effort.
