Saving money…the frugal way.
Nowadays, it is becoming increasingly difficult to save a quarter here or there, but despite the bad economy and rising fuel costs, you can save plenty of money if you really focus on it.
For example: One of my friends has a bad habit of assuming that just because he has free text messaging on his cell phone, that everybody else does too. I do not have the free text messaging and have no reason to get it since I don’t text much at all. So I found a nifty little trick to save a dime here or there. Basically, whenever he texts me, I do not open the message. Instead, I preview the message by just highlighting it in my cell phone. The message scrolls across the screen slowly and since I never actually opened it, I don’t have to pay the $0.10 that I normally do.
Another interesting thing that I have seen lately is people changing the way that they drive to double their gas mileage. An example is in the video below.
Getting 50 mpg instead of 25 is well worth researching how to be a “hyper-miler”. There are many other ways to save money everyday by just changing the way you live your life. Try getting all of your energy drinks and snacks at a grocery store whenever you normally get groceries, rather than stopping on your way to work every day. Prices are generally cheaper at some grocery stores, plus you will save gas if you do all of your shopping at once. The savings may seem insignificant now, but you may be surprised when you realize how much you can save in the course of a year. I have changed the way I live my life to save on groceries, gas and just about anything that I possibly can.
Best of luck in your frugal ways.
