Starting up a Niche website
Incase you didn’t know, a niche is a focused, targeted market. It is fairly simple to create a niche website even if you have no money to invest. A niche site can get you started on internet marketing and affiliate marketing as well. In order to get started, you must first find a niche that you enjoy writing about or know a lot about. In order to succeed you can’t keep your eye on the money, instead, focus on the content.
Blogger (www.blogspot.com) is an excellent way to get started. Sign up for an account and then start posting to your new blog. Blogger is entirely free to use and also has google adsense integrated into it. If you are not aware of adsense, please refer to my “Affiliate Marketing” page. So you have picked a topic and now need to start writing. The more content that your website has, the more people will want to come back to your website. Even if your website is about different styles of binoculars, you will have a fan base if you update regularly. The key to success is to have better content than your competitors, not necessarily more conent.
Now that you have plenty of content, it is time to submit your website to various search engines. To do this, you must either go to each search engine and individually submit your website or you could use a service to do this for you. Neither way is more efficient than the other. A key to getting your website higher in the ranks on search engines is to have other websites link to it. If you have another website that you can link to the new one, your traffic flow will increase as will your page rank.
Getting traffic is another thing entirely, and I will go into more detail about this later.
